KHUSHI (Happiness) Health and Wellbeing

Khushi has recently moved to a new venue at the Chapeltown Children's Centre,62 Leopold Street,Leeds LS7 4AW, we meet every Wednesday from 10.00am to 1.30pm . Khushi is - Happiness, Understanding, Support, Healing and Involvement.

This group is now based at the Children's Centre in Chapeltown with 30-35 women attending.

Khushi continues to be popular and even more so since we moved out into the community at the Children's Centre. Sessions have included Art therapy, Massage, Yoga sessions.  With the support of Dosti staff the women now feel able to use public transport which promotes independence. One of our biggest achievements is encouraging the women to learn and practice speaking English; this has improved their confidence and helps with integration.

The key to our success is being in the community, using local facilities whilst offering culturally specific support with service user involvement.
