MAKE A DONATION

The challenge for us, along with all voluntary organisations, is the sustainability of the funding we receive. Many of the grants are one-off, rather than multi-annual, which means that we are constantly having to identify new sources and re-apply for funding.

You can join us in our efforts:

1. Become a 'Friend' of Dosti.

2. Make a donation. In order to do this could you please contact Ravinder Samra or make a cheque payable to Dosti Asian Women's Support Service and send to Dosti at Stocks Hill Day Centre, Chapel Lane, Leeds LS12 2DJ.

If you would like to make a donation or require further information, please contact us on the phone number above.

Donate to Dosti Online

You can make a secure donation to Dosti on-line right now with your debit or credit card. Go to http://www.justgiving.co.uk and put "Dosti Leeds" into the search engine. Once you have opened the page about Dosti follow the simple instructions to carry out the transaction. Supporting our work in the community has never been easier!

Donate Gifts

We also very much appreciate "gifts in kind" from corporate and individual supporters. We are constantly in need of technological support, merchandise suitable for competition prizes, and services for our projects. Whatever your business has to spare, it could be of use to us!

What's more, gifts in kind are a tax efficient way of supporting Dosti. The original cost, which you incurred in purchasing the goods, is allowable as an expense when calculating your profits, which are liable for tax. For VAT purposes, the gift to a charity for resale is zero-rated; this means that you are allowed to reclaim any VAT as a result of donating goods to Dosti.

Contact Rozi at Dosti on the phone number at the top of this page if you are interested in making a kind donation.

About Gift Aid

Under the Gift Aid scheme, charities can reclaim an extra 25% in tax on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. Between 6 April 2008 and 5 April 2011, the government will also give UK charities an extra 3% of all eligible donations. This ‘transitional relief’ does not affect your personal tax position. The Gift Aid scheme is unique to the UK. If you are not a UK taxpayer, you can still make a donation through Justgiving, but your donation will not attract Gift Aid.
